September 2007 Cruisers Newsletter The next meeting will be Monday, September 17th at 7:00 PM at Hannah’s Bend Park Cannon Falls. Highlights from August's meeting. • Club picnic was held in spite of the rain and a great time was had by those attending. Great games were provided by Chris and excellent entertainment was provided by the live band "Road". • Denny will set up a time in October for our fall Adopt-A-Highway clean up. • Chris has another bang-up dinner cruise planned for Friday,September 7th to Lighthouse Bay restaurant in Waterville. We will leave Cannon Falls commuter lot at 6:00 PM. • John Lee, our treasurer, gave the show report. We barely scraped through with enough income to put on a 2008 show. • A subcommittee was formed to study ways to increase attendance at the 2008 show. Those members are Dallas,Chris, Doug, and Gary. They will meet at 6:00 PM before the next meeting and come up with ideas and a report. • A motion was made and seconded to donate $300 to the CF Police reserve. • Motion was made for John Lee to purchase a 9 month CD of $3000 with proceeds. • The leaf cruise with the Drifters is changed to Sunday, October 14th. We will leave the commuter lot at 9:30 AM to go to the Rochester Walmart for registration. • Gary will send in request for MSRA voting event for our 2008 show. • The Banquet Committee for 2008 will look into restaurants and menus. Members are Marv, Doug, Denny, Adam, Ron, Gary, and Adam . • Special welcome to our new members: Stuart Weierke, Richard Miller, and Bill & Deb Hoyt. • Drawing winner: Paul Hollerbach. KEEP CRUISING! The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
