September 2005 Cruisers Newsletter

The next meeting will be on Monday, October 17th at 7:00 pm at Hannah’s Bend Park.


Highlights from September's meeting.

• Gary to reserve a date for the car club banquet at Grandpa’s Garage for the second or fourth Saturady in February.

• Adopt-a –Highway cleanup will be next month, and Denny will let us know which day it is

• Tour of Speedway Motors is to be scheduled for early spring of 06 by Bob Bryan

• Fall leaf cruise is scheduled for Sunday, October 2nd.  Leave the city commuter lot at 9am for registration at the Rochester Walmart.  If you need more information, call Gary at 263-4622

• Bob Bryan and Doug LaRock will check on obtaining a window Car Club emblem similar to MSRA’s emblem and will report at October meeting.

• Denny reported that Brainerd NHRA is on the calendar for August 10th,11,12,&13th 2006. So, plan now for tickets from Denny after the 1st of the year.

• Ross Rounds has volunteered to be our web site manager.

• The after show picnic was enjoyed by all; excellent desserts and corn, though a liitle short on the beef.

• Drawing was won by Doug LaRock.

Up-Coming Events

  • Saturday, October 1st from 10am till 3pm:  Minnesota Hot Rod Hardware OPEN HOUSE with LUNCH at Mantorville,Mn.  Craft tent for the ladies.
  • Saturday & Sunday, October 1st & 2nd  Fall Swap Meet and Auto Show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds sponsored by the Twin City Model A Ford club.
  • Sunday, October 2nd:  Annual Leaf Cruise with the Drifters Car Club of Rochester.  We leave from the Cannon Falls City Commuter Lot across from the Bandshell at 9am, register for the cruise at the Walmart in Rochester at the North end of town off 52.  This is a poker run and is $5 for a poker hand.  Bring canned goods for the food shelf.  Registration lasts untill 12:00 noon in case you have to arrive later.  The cruise ends in St. Charles, Mn.
  • Monday, October 17'th at 7 pm:  Cannon Cruiser meeting at Hannah’s Bend Park

The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing.   Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members.   Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc.  If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.   Be sure to contact him before the first week of each month.
