May 2006 Cruisers Newsletter The next meeting will be on Monday, June 19th at 7:00 PM at Hannah’s Bend Park in Cannon Falls. Our 2'nd cruise of the year will be Friday, June 9th. It will start at Grandpa’s Garage with line up at 5:00 PM; and the cruise will start at 7:00 PM using the Sogn Valley route. Also, O’Reillys Auto Parts in Cannon Falls is having their open house Friday the 9'th, and they will have hot dogs and hamburgers starting at 5:00 PM. Highlights from May's meeting. • The majority of the members wanted to use the Sogn valley road route for the 2nd cruise on June 9th. The cruise will start at 7:00 PM. • We will need sponsor's names for the trophies besides O’Reillys by next meeting for Marcia such as Coca Cola, etc. • Robin Gross was present and will be trying some different ideas with the web site such as pictures of members rides, and different links, and a classified page for listing members for sale items. These things are to be sent to Gary and he will forward them to Robin in an organized method. • Car Club emblems for your rides are available from Gary for $1.00 each. • Denny Sjoquist reported that the Adopt-A-Highway cleanup on May 4th went well and thanks to all the members that helped. • Doug LaRock reported on the Speedway Motors trip and said it was the best collection of cars he had seen. He would highly recommend taking the trip to the car club members. • O’Reilly’s in Cannon is having an open house on Friday June 9'th. They are having hot dogs and burgers starting at 5pm and all cars are invited. • Denny reported that Jim Simon had offered the arena as an alternate car show site in case of rain, or maybe as a winter car show. • Motion was made to have Robin develop Auto Trader column for the web site at approx $20-25. • Drawing winner: Denny Sjoquist Up-Coming Events
KEEP CRUISING! The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
