June 2006 Cruisers Newsletter The next meetings will be on Mondays, July 10th,July 17th, July 24th and July 31st at 7:00 PM at Hannah’s Bend Park in Cannon Falls. Our 3rd cruise of the year will be Friday, July 7th, starting at Grandpa’s Garage. The line up is at 5:00 PM, and the start of the cruise is at 7:00 PM using the Sogn Valley route. The extra meetings in July will be for discussing the upcoming show in August and for figuring out job assignments etc. Highlights from June's meeting. • For the 3rd cruise on July 7'th; the majority of the members wanted to use the Sogn valley road route. The cruise will start at 7:00 PM. • The major sponsors for the trophies were decided at the meeting for the 10 special awards. Gary will announce the various sponsors for each class as the trophies are presented. • Marcia shared with us the trophy plaques and dash plaques. Everyone thought that they were great and were real classy. • Car Club emblems for your rides are available from Gary for $1.00 each. • Gary finalized the list of members attending the Little Log House show in Hastings on July 29'th. He will mail in for pre-registration as a group. We had 6 sign up. We will leave from Cannon Auto Repair at 8:00 AM on the 29'th. • This is our 20'th Annual Show, and the members approved inviting all former members to our show as guests to join in our celebration. Gary will compose a letter and mail it to all former members who are still in the area. • Denny reported that he has a total of 22 people going to Brainerd for the NHRA Nationals. • Denny also reported that we (Cannon Cruisers Car Club) received a certificate for doing the Adopt-A-Highway program. • Dallas reported on the Hastings cruise is on Main Street, and it is on the 2'nd and 4'th Saturdays of the month from 5pm-10pm. We could go on Saturday July 8th as a club. • 4th of July parade: meet at Denny Sjoquist’s garage at 6:30pm on July 3rd to decorate our float. Our club is #51 in the parade, and we are to be lined up by 11:00 AM. Start lineup on South 3rd Street and Colvill facing south. *CAN ONLY HAND OUT CANDY- NO THROWING! • Drawing winner: Adam Johnston Up-Coming Events
KEEP CRUISING! The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
