June 2005 Cruisers Newsletter

The next meeting will be held at Hannah's Bend Park on Monday, June 20th at 7:00 PM.


Highlights from May's meeting.

Tickets for the July 1st dance in Cannon Falls are available to buy.   See Gary at the cruise on June 10th, or at the meeting, or call him at (507)263-4622.   We would like to see all members sell a minimum of 10 tickets at $5.00 each to your friends and fellow car & truck buffs.

Our club volunteered to help the Chamber of Commerce with the Bike tour of Minnesota; which will be coming thru Cannon Falls on Saturday, June 11th.  If you can help, please call Denny at 263-2775.

We discussed going with all plaques for the trophies this year; except for the 10 special trophies.   Ron will get a price on the 10 trophies and a report for the next meeting so that we can make a decision.

The next cruise is on June 10th at Grandpa's Garage, and the starting line up is at 5:00 pm on the southside.   The route is out to HWY 25, to HWY 1, to HWY 8, and then back to Grandpa's Garage.

Bob Bryan will line up a tour of Speedway Motors in October of 2005.

Denny reported that 14 people are signed up for the Brainerd trip!

Update on the 4'th of July float: Adam Johnston will scope out Bob's car for ideas.

Motion was made and carried to pay Robin $250 for 9 pages of development of our club web site.

Denny Sjoquist was the drawing winner.

CLUB HUMOR

  • June 17 - 19th: MSRA's "Back to the Fifties" event at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
  • June 25th - 26th: New Ulm Auto Fest and Scavenger Hunt.
  • June 26th: Valley Street Machines Car & Truck Show in Rochester at the Olmstead City Fairgrounds.
  • July 1st: Cruise and Dance at Grandpa's Garage.   See you all there!

The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing.   Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members.   Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc.  If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.   Be sure to contact him before the first week of each month.
