July 2005 Cruisers Newsletter The next meeting will be on Monday, August 15th at 7 pm at Hannah’s Bend Park, in conjunction with the after-show picnic at Ryan Rounds' place on Friday evening, August the 26th. Highlights from June's meeting. • Ryan Rounds has volunteered to have the Club after show appreciation picnic at his place on Friday evening,August 26th starting at 5-6pm. The club will provide Burgers,Brats,and sweet corn. Please bring a salad or dessert to pass and chairs. • On Saturday,July 30th from 9am till 5pm we will have a display at Bauer’s Little Log House south of Hastings,if you can come please call and preregister at 651-437-2693. • Gary,Denny,Dallas,Dave C.,Jerry C.,Adam are already pre-registered. • It was decided that Dave C’s StreetRod would make a great picture for the Web site. Gary will get a picture and send to Robin to use. • Pres. Denny appointed Dallas Dinsen as the replacement for the Board of Directors after Pete Williams left the club. • Kelly Helgren will contact Ralph Beebe for judging at the Show. • Ron gave us the latest on the Plaques and Trophies and they look great!!! • The parking at Grandpa’s Garage will be involved for Friday August 5th as we have to leave room for just fish fry customers. Gary will draw up parking maps for the parking crew. • Brewster’s Bar donated their old sound system to the Car Club and we will have their name on one of our top 10 trophies. • We will need lots of help for traffic control for the cruise as well as show day,so invite your friends to help. All helpers will be invited to our after show picnic. • The cruise route this year will be up state to nursing home,19 to 52 and so. On 52 to 24,24 to 56 and no on 56 to 88,east on 88 to Gerlach Way and back to town. • Drawing was won by Ron Johnston. CLUB HUMOR The perks of being over 50 years old:
