August 2007 Cruisers Newsletter

The next meeting will be Monday, August 20'th at 7:00 PM at Hannah’s Bend Park Cannon Falls.

Highlights from July's meeting.

• Club picnic will be at Chris & Carla Zwebers at 4pm on Saturday, August 18th. Club will furnish Burgers,Brats and Sweet Corn. Members are to bring a dish to pass(Salad or Dessert). Car games will be provided by Chris & Marv. Bring own special beverages and outside chairs.

• Denny will be putting up Banners on Sunday July 29th,meet at Country Kitchen for breakfast at 8am, call Denny at 263-4622 for assignment.

• Going to Little Log House Saturday,July 28th and some members will also go to Hastings cruise-in that evening.

• Pre-Registrations for show at 9 so far.

• Door prizes are slowly coming in so keep trying etc.

• Members would like Club Dinner cruises next year and have Grandpa’s Garage as the Big Cruise before the show only because of such low attendance.

• The cruise route for the big cruise will go through Hampton, Randolph,New Trier,Miesville and Welch for about 50 miles(90 mins).

• Members are encouraged to enlist friends as helpers for the show for parking etc.

• The members requested that we have a club trailer at the swap meet for members items for sale- See the swap crew,Marv,Matt and Ron.

• Drawing winner: Matt Weierke.

  • Every other Saturday, starting June 2nd thru September 21'st:  Hastings Cruise-Ins.


  • Saturday, July 28th, 7:00 AM: breakfast at Country Kitchen,then Little log house in Hastings. We leave from Cannon Auto at 8:00 am.


  • Saturday, July 28th: Hastings Downtown Cruise-In.


  • Sunday, July 29th, 8:00 AM:Country Kitchen for breakfast and banner hanging.   Call Denny for assignment at 263-2775.


  • Monday, July 30th: Final Show Meeting at Hannah’s Bend Park at 7:00 PM.


  • Friday, August 3rd- 4:00 PM: on the Big Cruise. Leave Grandpa’s at 7:00 PM.   We need lots a help!.


  • Saturday, August 4th- Meet at 8:00 AM: at Hannah’s Bend for Show Set up.   John to bring Donuts!.


  • Sunday, August 5th: Park opens at 5:00 AM; classification start at 7:00 AM- Showtime!
  • August 10-11-12:Brainerd NHRA races.


  • Saturday, August 18th: Club Picnic at Chris & Carla Zweber’s starting at 4:00 PM.


  • Monday, August 20th: Club Meeting at Hannah’s Bend at 7:00 PM.


  • Friday, August 24th: Club Dinner Cruise to Pine Island A&W.   We leave commuter lot 6:00 PM.


  • Friday, September 7th: Club Dinner cruise to Waterville Lighthouse Bay Restaurant.  We leave commuter lot 6:00 PM.


  • Monday, September 17th: Club Meeting at Hannah’s Bend Park at 7:00 PM.


  • Friday, September 21st: Last Grandpa’s Garage cruise leave at 7:00 PM.

The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing.   Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members.   Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc.  If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.   Be sure to contact him before the first week of each month.
