August 2006 Cruisers Newsletter The next meeting will be Monday, September 18th at 7:00 PM at Hannah’s Bend Park. Highlights from August's meeting. • A special thanks to Chris & Carla Zweber for hosting the After-Show picnic. We had the largest turnout ever, and everyone had calorie overload as well as a great time. • The members okayed adding a hit counter to the web site as well as For-Sale items by non-members for 1 percent of the proceeds of the sale to the club using the honor system. • Any member with a classified for sale item, get details to Gary and he will have them inserted at the web site. • Also approved was adding a link to our link page of www.usship.com as long as they have a back link to our site. We can earn 30% of proceeds of delivery for referrals. • Many reports on Hastings Cruise are in. All are encouraged to go; 2'nd & 4'th Saturday of the month on main street downtown Hastings from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This will be ongoing into September. • Donations will be decided at next meeting with the Police Reserve as th first choice. • Show discussion with complaints about price and multiple special awards for 1 entrant. Also disussed how to handle disorderly spectators (911). • Shirts for members will be researched by Ryan Rounds for report at next meeting. • Banner bracket purchase will be discussed at next meeting (10x14=$140). • Discussed many different cruise options for next year; such as Elkton Show, Pine Island, etc. • Drawing winner: Doug LaRock Up-Coming Events
KEEP CRUISING! The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
