April 2006 Cruisers Newsletter The next meeting will be on Monday, May 15th, 2006, at 7:00 PM. It will be held at Hannah’s Bend Park in Cannon Falls. Our first cruise of the year will be Friday, May 19th starting at Grandpa’s Garage. Line up will be at 5:00 PM and the start of the cruise is at 7:00 PM using the Welch route. Highlights from April's meeting. • For the first cruise on May 19th, the majority of the members wanted to use the Welch road route. The cruise will start at 7:00 PM. • We will be mailing out flyers at the May meeting to all of this past year's registrants. Doug LaRock will supply the flyers. • Donations: John Lee notified us that he had sent a check to the Cannon Food Shelf for $300 in March so that the funds could be matched. • Car Club emblems for your rides are available from Gary for $1.00 each. • Gary is to contact Robin about coming to our next meeting so that we can discuss some web site ideas with her. • Adopt-A-Highway cleanup will be on Thursday, May 4th at 6:00 PM. We wil meet at the St. Pius north parking lot. • Speedway trip: 5 members signed up and will leave Friday, April 21st at 12 noon from Ryan’s place. • There was discussion about window the car club emblems. The majority consensus was that we need more contrast, or a different design; which we will look into for next year. • The Little Log House Antique show has sent us registration blanks; please fill these out at the next meeting because we want to send them in as a group. • Gary presented the Allina Health System raffle for $100 per ticket. The prize is a 2006 Ford Mustang with better odds than the powerball . • Gary to check with Robin about the status of web site. • Drawing winner: Bob Bryan Up-Coming Events
KEEP CRUISING! The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
