The next meeting will be Monday, September 21st at 7 pm at Tom Eilen’s garage in Hampton. Drive into the trucking area and follow the driveway up the hill to the garage by the house. See you all there!

AUGUST 2009 MEETING HIGHLITES

  • Welcome to new members: Thomas P. Fritz and Jeff Peterson
  • The club picnic was well attended by about 25 members and many awards were handed out and a special thanks to Reed for the excellent food and to the special hostesses Tara & Laura for all their hard work which made the event very enjoyable.
  • The Mel Stanko to change PUSH to REVERSE on his shift selector will start on Saturday about 9:30am at Tom Fritz’s garage in New Trier on Saturday, September 5th. After cleaning the engine and trans the project will move to Denny’s garage for removal and rebuild. (OverHaulin).
  • Much discussion about the car show and format, decision will be made at the September meeting about next years car show and cruises and cruise-ins etc.
  • President Ryan Rounds has taken a leave of absence and Vice President Dallas Dinsen will be handling his duties till November.
  • Car show 2010 committee to be Tom Fritz Sr.,Al Fliegel ,Denny Sjoquist to come up with ideas.
  • This years show had 109 cars excluding club cars and took in $400 for food shelf,$100 slushys and buttons were a bust.
  • Need separate flyer for Cruise-Ins for 2010 season to distribute at NAPA and O’Reillys.
  • Swap meet at Kevin’s Klassics was a bust, do we continue with new plan?
  • Our Club Insurance has exclusions for 2010 for burn outs and racing of any kind.

  • UPCOMING EVENTS

    • Friday, September 18th, C;assic Car Cruise in New Prague starting at 6:30 pm on Main St.,registration is at the New Prague middle school on Cty Rd 37,fee is $10,28 mile cruise.
    • Monday, September 21st, 7pm Club Meeting at Tom Eilen’s garage in Hampton, Mn.
    • Sunday, October 4th, 9am City Commuter Lot meet, Leaf Cruise with the Drifters, registration is 9am to 11am At Rochester Wal-Mart; fee is $15/Car includes 5 poker hands for poker run.
    • Saturday, October 10th or October 17th planning for dinner cruise and tour of Elmer’s Toy & Car Museum at Fountain City Wisconsin with dinner to follow in Red Wing, date to be chosen at next club meeting. Leave CF at 1pm,tour museum,stop for dinner on way back.
    • Monday, October 19th, 7pm club meeting at someone’s garage- to be announced.

The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing.   Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members.   Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc.  If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.   Be sure to contact him before the first week of each month.
