MEETING HIGHLITES
- Thanks to Tom Eilen as his garage was spectacular and had most of us spellbound with the quality of his collection and his facility—also his hospitality was greatly appreciated.
- The members voted to submit an application to MSRA for our show to be a voting event in 2010.
- The members approved for John Lee to pay for the clubs insurance with the provision that if we limit some events we will get a rebate.
- The Adopt-a-Highway clean-up will be on Saturday, October 10th with a follow-up of the Mel project after at Denny’s garage.
- The 2010 nominating committee was formed according to the by-laws; Dallas Dinsen,Bob Bryan and Marcia.
- Much discussion about Car Show and Cruise-Ins; A vote of 8 ayes to 5 nays for Car Show which will be reevaluated depending on voting event or not.
- We have $603.40 in reserve for the Cannon Valley food shelf which will be given in March of 2010 for State matching funds.
- The Car Show subcommittee is comprised of Al Fliegel,Chair;Denny Sjoquist and Tom Fritz Sr..All members are encouraged to share your show ideas with Al.
- Cruise-In idea of having by the Banks and Brewsters to avoid parking problems and centralization,more to be discussed later.
- Web site updated, need removal of cars of non-members and pics of the Mel project.
- Mel project update: engine and trans out,peanuts(Marlyn Husebye is doing the trans and the club members are sprucing up the engine with the completion date tentatively the end of October.
- John reported that we still have some outstanding adds from last years flyer.
- Tours of Summit Brewery and Forest Lake Plating put on hold till this winter.

EVENTS
- Sunday, October 4th, Meet and leave CF commuter lot at 9am for Rochester Walmart for the Annual Leaf Cruise with the Drifters, registration is 9am to 11am At Rochester WalMart; fee is $15/Car includes 5 poker hands for poker run. Cruise ends at St. Charles Minnesota Fairgrounds (approx 150 miles).They also collect canned goods for the local food shelf.
- Saturday, October 3rd, Mn Hot Rod Hardware season finale Car Show at Kasson Fairgrounds from 8am to 3pm,$10/car.
- Sunday, October 4th, 9am City Commuter Lot meet, Leaf Cruise with the Drifters, registration is 9am to 11am At Rochester Wal-Mart; fee is $15/Car includes 5 poker hands for poker run.
- Saturday, October 10th , 7:30 am optional breakfast at Country Kitchen, 9am meet at St. Pius Church parking lot for Adopt-a-Highway clean up. Following the clean-up we will go to Denny’s garage to work on the Mel project for those gear heads so inclined.
- Saturday, October 17th, Tour & Dinner Cruise, leave Cannon Falls comuter lot at 1pm and pick up the Bearing Burner members at Bayside park in Red Wing and cruise to Fountain City,Wisconsin to visit Elmer’s Toy Museum, return on Wisconsin 35 to Red Wing for dinner at the Mexican Festival restaurant on highway 61.

The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
