March 2007 Cruisers Newsletter The next meeting will be Monday, April 16th at 7:00 PM in Marv’s Garage. Directions: Take the New Trier Road north to New Trier. Continue north past the Trophy House Restaurant about ˝ mile to Marv’s Garage on your left,23525 Hogan Ave. If lost call: 651-438-5478. Highlights from March's meeting. • The Cannon Cruisers Annual Banquet and Awards Banquet was on March 16'th with 30 attendees. There were many door prizes and good food and fun. The big winners were Paul Hollerbach; $100 Sears Certificate, Ron Johnston; $100 in CF Chamber Bucks, Marcia Clemens, Member of the Year and Marcia was presented a Commemorative Quilt by Pres. Doug for all her service to the club over the years. • Final sign up for the club shirts was done at the Banquet and at the meeting. Marcia will order so we get them for the show season. • Many cruise destinations were presented along with Iowa speedway and Stormin Norman’s Rock & Roll museum in Waterbury Nebraska. Doug and Gary are to pick some dates and have sign up at next meeting. • Tour of Ford Plant in August or September by Marv Witte. • Ryan will give us a quote on Car Club emblems from Doug’s sons design. • Final sign up for the new Club Shirts will be at the Banquet • Instead of donations a motion was made to ask John Lee if the club could afford to buy the club shirts for the members without a co-pay. • Dan Palodichuk received his award “Best Car on a Float 2006” . Is it a Hemi or Hemo? • Much discussion on Car emblems, and the majority wanted the design simple with established 1985 in old English style type. • 4th of July Parade - Gary to submit application for 10 units. Ryan also stated that he will have his annual after parade picnic at his house. • Drawing winner: Denny or Marcia- Gary can’t remember! Up-Coming Events
KEEP CRUISING! The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
