The next meeting will be Monday, APRIL 20TH at 7 pm at Bob Bryan's Garage at 7969 260th St. E.,Randolph,Mn. Take Highway 52 north to Goodwin Avenue, turn right on Goodwin and follow to the 3rd place on the left with the windmill in the yard. If lost call Bob at 263-3798. See you all there!
MARCH 2009
MEETING HIGHLITES
- The members voted to postpone the Club Banquet and have a club picnic this summer in June or July
- The members present voted to donate $300 to the Cannon Food Shelf and to join the Cannon Falls Chamber of Commerce as associate members.
- The by-law revision committee gave their report (Dallas, Scott and Matt) and the main change was the addition of a probationary membership class for 1 year and after the year the member would be voted on by the members. The typed changes to the by-laws will be presented at the April meeting.
- Brent Sigmeth has consented to up date the web site for us after Gary emails him the info & news.
- Denny Sjoquist reported that we have new vests to be used for the Adopt-A-Highway program as recommended by OSHA- bright colored vests with stripes.
- Dues for 2009 are due by April 1st; the April newsletter will be the last issue for unpaid dues members. Get your dues in to Denny or Gary.
- The Friday evening cruise and the Sunday show will be free with a free will donation or canned goods to the Cannon Valley Food Shelf. The club will concentrate on the swap meet at Kevin's Klassics on Saturday, August 1st, 2009.
- The Car Show Flyer as presented to the members was approved and Doug, Gary & Denny will take to the Beacon for the proof and to print 1500 copies.
- Al Fliegel presented his idea of a button to promote the Crusin Days at 0.14 cents each. A motion was approved to allow Al $65 for as many buttons as he could come up with to hand out.
- Motion was made to rescind the $750 budgeted for the Banquet and cancel the 2009 Banquet, this motion was approved unanimously. Discussion was in favor of a picnic this summer.
- To ask John Lee to set up separate account for food shelf donations so we can give in March so the funds get doubled.
- Al will check on updating recycled trophies to use for the awards at this years show.
- Al advised members of Tree Topper Days in July in New Trier with Car Show.
- NAPA will offer club discounts to all dues paid up members of 5% to 40% depending on product.
- Denny needs ticket requests and money for the NHRA nationals by April 1st!

- Denny has arranged for us to have our May meeting at Dave Bobert's in Sogn, he is a Mopar collector. Directions will be in the May newsletter.

The club newsletter is published and circulated on a monthly basis to all of its members that are in good standing. Advertising space in the newsletter is available to all members. Some advertising options are as follows: garage space for rent, vehicles for sale, parts for sale, etc. If you wish to submit items for the newsletter; contact the editor, Gary Sigmeth, at (507)263-4622.
