AUGUST 2011 MEETING HIGHLITES

• Gary volunteered to have the fall club picnic at his place on Saturday, September 3rd starting at 4pm for socializing and games,6pm Dinner,award program & door prizes at 7pm. The club provides all food and pepsi and coke products. You bring your special refreshments and a salad or dessert to pass.There will be Bago, Polish Golf and Horseshoe tournaments with trophies, so be thinking of which member you would like to partner up with. Kids are welcome and R.S.V.P. to Gary at 263-4622.
• We had 62 registered cars at SHOW plus 15 club cars & trucks. The total donations for the Cannon Valley Food Shelf was $305 plus 180 pounds of canned goods.
• The VFW Fundraiser will be on Saturday, September 24th. We will be helping with the car show on Mill street from 10am till 4pm so mark your calendars.
• We had 7 members go to the Little Log House show and had a great time and saw the Porky's building and is looking good at its new home.
• The Facebook site "Cannon Cruisers Car Club" is up and running with many pictures along with a video of the 4th parade and pictures from the Car Show.
• The Cruise-In at Pine Island is on Saturday the 13th and 27th of August - starts at 4pm - there are 4 good restaurants in Pine Island to eat at.
• Web site is now up to date.
• Scott and Mike Dinsen won 1st Place in Club Class at the Show with Dallas's 66 Chevelle and Stuart and MaryJane received the 2nd place with their 1956 BelAir Convertible.

• Saturday, August 13, Pine Island Cruise-In starting at 4pm, leave as club from Cannon Falls Commuter Lot at 4pm and take the back roads to Pine Island.
• Monday, August 15th, 7pm Official Club meeting at Hannah's Bend Park.
• Saturday & Sunday, August 20th&21st, 9am-5pm, Elmer's Auto & Toy Museum in Fountain City, Wi.
• Saturday, August 27th - Summer Spectacular Show at Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington, 8am-3pm.
• Saturday, September 3rd, 4pm Club Picnic and Awards at Gary and Helen Sigmeth's. See above schedule.
• Saturday, September 10th, Jesse James Car Show in Northfield, 9am to 3pm.
• Sunday, September 11th, Inver Grove Height's Car Show on Cahill, 10am-4pm.
• Monday, September 19th, 7pm Club Meeting at Hannah's Bend Park.
• Saturday, September 24th, VFW Fundraiser Car Show, 10am to 4pm, Cannon Falls VFW.
• Sunday, October 2nd, Leaf Cruise with the Drifters, cost is $15/car, Leave as club from the city commuter lot at 9am, registration at the Rochester Walmart from 9am till 11am.
