Cannon Cruisin' Days 2008

The show will be held on Sunday, August 3rd this year in Cannon Falls at Hannah's Bend Park by the fair grounds. We will be having some top quality cars, so be sure to bring your friends and invite other car clubs too!

Upcoming Public Events

July 4th - Cannon Falls Parade: The Cruisers will be driving their classic cars in the parade, which starts at 11:30. Classic music will be played from one car.
July 19th - Downtown Cruise-In: Anyone with a classic car can come to historic Downtown Cannon Falls for a great time. We will have vendors, music, and our participants are sure to be sharing some great stories and conversations. Our first Cruise-In was a success despite the threat of foul weather with about 40 cars stopping in throughout the night. Let's make this one another great night!
July 31st - Downtown Cannon Falls Funfest: The club will be downtown displaying our club cars, and advertising for our Annual Cannon Cruisin' Days. Be sure to stop by!
August 1st - Kick-Off of Cannon Crusin' Days - Large Country Cruise: This car cruise will start from Grandpa's Garage on the south side of town. Line-up will start at 4:00pm in the parking lot, and we will leave for a scenic 20-mile country cruise. We are all hoping for a great turn-out. Admission to the cruise is either a non-perishable food item or a cash donation for the Cannon Falls Food Shelf.
August 3rd - 22nd Annual Cannon Cruisin' Days Car Show and Swap Meet: Once again, we are holding our car show in beautiful Hannah's Bend Park in Cannon Falls. The show consists of 32 classes, over 100 awards, dash plaques to the first 250 entries, and participant voting on individual class awards, and the gates will open at 8:00am with awards expected to start about 2:00pm. This is a MSRA voting event. There will be a pancake breakfast served by the Cannon Falls Lions Club. August 18th - Downtown Cruise-In: Anyone with a classic car can come to historic Downtown Cannon Falls for a great time. We will have vendors, music, and our participants are sure to be sharing some great stories and conversations. Let's make this one great night!
Club Meetings: Meetings are usually scheduled for the third Monday of every month at 7:00 PM at various locations. These meetings are held in the Cannon Falls area and the locations are announced in the monthly newsletter.
Annual Car Club Awards Banquet:: The banquet was held on Saturday, February 23rd, 2006 at Grandpa's Garage in Cannon Falls. Social hour with hors d'oevres was from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Dinner was served at 6:00 and the awards program started at 7:00. All members and their significant others were invited, and there were various door prizes for men and women. The club paid for a large portion of the dinner; members only needed to pay $5.00 for themselves and $5.00 for their guest.

The "Top 10 Awards" were also given out to members. There were two $100 gift certificates given away as door prizes; they were the Attendance Award and the Grand Door Prize.
Adopt-A-Highway Program: The club is responsible for a two mile stretch of 4'th street South from the St. Pius Church to the stoplight by Grandpa's Garage. We usually go out to clean up twice a year; usually once in May and once in October.
Spring 2008: May 10th - Meet at St. Pius Parking Lot at 9AM, or go to an optional breakfast first at Country Kitchen at 8AM.
Back to the 50s Car Show: Back to the 50s will be held at the State Fairgrounds this year June 20-22. Members are encouraged to check it out if they have time.
Parades: The club always participates in the Fourth of July parade in Cannon Falls. All members are invited to bring their classic car to cruise in the parade.
The Bauer Car Show in Hastings: This show is held at on the last weekend of July, which is July 26-27, 2008. Cars from the club will be on display from 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and we will be handing out flyers for our show. Call 651-437-2693 to register.
